Brett Favre has done yet another about-face and has signed with the Minnesota Vikings. Being located just south of the Minnesota border, I can almost hear the celebrations of the Vikings fans.

The Philadelphia Eagles sign Michael Vick

Michael Vick

According to the AP, the Philadelphia Eagles have signed Michael Vick to a one year contract with a team option for a 2nd year.

As repulsive as his actions were, we’re glad to see Vick getting a second chance. Hopefully he’ll make the most of it.

Mark Buehrle Pitches Perfect Game

Mark Buehrle

Chicago White Sox ace Mark Buehrle pitched the first perfect game in the Major Leagues in five years. The gem came against the defending AL champion Tampa Bay Rays and was saved by a home run robbing catch by center fielder Dewayne Wise. Wise was inserted into CF in the 9th inning as a defensive replacement and promptly stole a HR from Gabe Kapler.

Tragically, investigators have officially concluded that Steve McNair was shot and killed by his girlfriend. Apparently, she shot him in his sleep, then positioned herself so she would die in his arms. What can you even say about something like this?

Rare Eddie Gaedel Autograph Up For Bid!

AACS Autographs has the rare privilege of auctioning off a vintage signature of Eddie Gaedel! If you’re a fan or collector of baseball signatures, you may know that this is one of the rarest baseball autographs out there with only a handful known to be in existence. Gaedel’s signature actually sells for more than Babe Ruth’s due to its scarcity.

Eddie Gaedel was the only dwarf to appear in a Major League baseball game appearing for one bat with the St. Louis Browns on August 19, 1951. Standing just 3’7, weighing 65 lbs and wearing number “⅛” on his back, he walked on four pitches with a runner on first. That one at bat forever cemented Gaedel’s place in baseball lore. Sadly, he passed away in 1961 at the age of 36.

We are very proud to have the opportunity to bring this rare piece of baseball history to our customers!

Be sure to check out our auctions at www.aacsautographs.com.
